Help - How to get around on SafariBears:

Preferences

Here you can choose a Username if you want to get greeted specifically on the main page.
You can change the looks of SafariBears with the themes, but the functions remain the same. This is for people that don't like the standard theme.
Also one can pick the preferred language (Deutsch / English / Français).

Central Navigation Point Central Navigator

Clicking on 'Help/Themes' will get you here.
Clicking on 'Feedback' will let you send me an eMail.

Below that you see the Navigator, find the section you want to see (like to the slideshows or ChezTeddy) by cycling through the options with the left/right buttons. Go there by clicking on the thumbnail. In the example it would be the page with my slideshows.

The Slideshow Selection

Safari Navigator

After picking the Slideshow section, the page looks like the image above.
The main navigation on the left stays the same, new is the slideshow selection.

Here you have to first pick the way you want to look at the photos:

- if you want to see them as a classic slideshow (one photo after the other, in large format)
- or as a PicturePage (one page with all the photos as thumbnails. These can be clicked separately and seen in large format.

Below that one can (if one wants to) do a preselection with the radio buttons (then the available Slideshows will be sorted anew), or one simply picks a Slideshow that one finds interesting.
In the sample photo above the preselection shows "France", so only Slideshows dealing with France are displayed to pick from.

The rest, below, shows all the 'tiles' of the Slideshows, to select, from "Straßburg" and "Auxerre" to "Paris".

In addition, there an icon in the upper right corner to download a file for Google Earth. Then one can have a look at all the places that I have Slideshows about. Links to the resprective Slideshows on SafariBears are certainly included.

Slideshow View

This is the view of selected theme as a classic Slideshow.

Clicking on the large image will bring you back to the Slideshow Selection.

The little element is the 'remote control' and holds the important buttons (forward, backward, the seconds for automatic slideshow mode and the image size in percent.
The 'remote control' can be picked up on the left side with the mouse and pushed around by drag&drop.

All the way down, in the middle can be seen information about the displayed photo (maybe some comment by me, and technical info like the camera and the lens).
To the left are up to three icons (maybe not always displayed):
Information - a more or less long text about the theme - e.g. (if the theme is about a castle) when it got built and by whom and so on...
Google Maps - here opens a new tab, with Google Maps. One can see the position of the visited place.
Feedback - a new tab, bringing you to Blogger. One can leave a comment at a blog entry about the watched Slideshow.
All the way to the right one can see the number of the displayed image, and the count of all photos in the Slideshow.

View of the selected theme as a PicturePage.

Picturepage View

Main Navigator Clicking on "Slideshows" in the main navigator will bring you back to the Slideshow Selection page.

First displayed is a more or less long text with information (in the 'Classic Slideshow' this could be reached via the icon Information).
Below that are up to two icons, already familiar from the 'Classic Slideshow':
Google Maps - this opens a newhier öffnet sich ein neuer Tab, mit Google Maps. Man sieht gleich die Position des besuchten Ortes.
Feedback - a new tab, bringing you to Blogger. One can leave a comment at a blog entry about the watched Slideshow.

Then all the 'tiles' with the thumbnails are displayed. These can be clicked and the respective photos seeen in large format.
